is a voluntary, charitable, professional youth organisation,
working with and for young people. The purpose of the
organisation is to assist young people with their personal
and social development, through the medium of youth work,
employing the principles of best practice and the highest
ethical standards. YWI roscommon -NE Galway was established
in 1988. |

| YWI roscommon -NE Galway carries out its
work throughout the entire county of Roscommon and part
of North East county Galway. This area has a population
of over 26,000 young people under the age of 25 years.
The region incorporates 11 second level and 98 national
schools. |
